About the Idea

I’m a wife, mother, and freelance writer/editor with no free time and basically no disposable income to speak of. I have big goals for myself and my family, but achieving them will be a long road with lots of work involved.

I don’t know about you, but when I focus too much on the big picture, I get overwhelmed by how far there is yet to go. And it’s easy to feel cynical and defeated when you know that all manner of help is out there…if only you could afford it.

This blog is about going back to basics and implementing one small change at a time as you work toward your best life. It’s about loving yourself now, and using your strengths as the fuel for change. Rather than upsetting the equilibrium of your life with an “extreme makeover,” the idea behind Building Bricks is that even small changes can bring immediate relief of stress and open the way for advancement you may never have thought possible.

I hope you’ll join me on my journey towards peace and prosperity. Among other things, I’ll be exploring:

–Everyday tips to get better at something you already do

–Ways to make money doing something you love

–Budgeting and best use of the money you have

–Time management for busy families

–Making fitness an enjoyable part of your life

–Eating real food & breaking dependence on prepackaged items

–Topics of interest to, and suggested by, my readers

Don’t worry if you can’t afford to buy the “bricks” that will build your best life. We can make our own!
